Proverbs

Today I am going to talk about proverbs.
What is a proverb?
A simple and concrete saying popularly known and repeated, which expresses a truth, based on common sense or the practical experience of humanity.

Let me show you an example of a proverb

*You may lead a horse to the water but you cannot make him drink*

This proverb means that we can  always give the chances to a person to do something for himself.
But if the person does not want to use them, it is still useless.

Proverbs actually add up more spice to our sentences.
It can make a simple meaning more interesting as it connects with our logic and life.

Proverbs are often borrowed from similar languages and cultures, and sometimes come down to the present through more than one language.

So no wonder we have lots of proverbs in English.
It's been borrowed and transferred from the past.
People those days learn something from experiences and are now still teaching the present generations using proverbs.

*If you are early in your day, you will get more than others.*

*Apple can help building healthy body, in which you do not need to see a doctor as always. So eat apple everyday.*

*If we really want to do something and work it out, we can solve anything.*

*It is better to spend a little time to deal with problems or act right now than wait. If you wait until late, things will get worse, and it will take much longer to deal with them.*

Well I guess that's all for now. Till the next topic, au revoir~

Learning English is not a waste

Some of my friends actually thought I purposely talked English with them because I want to make fun of them.
But do not be mistaken.
The fact that I actually talked in English is because I want them to practice the correct way of communicating in English, other than train myself too.

Nowadays, English is a compulsary as we need to apply it almost to all our conversations.
Some might think that we do not really have to learn English.
For instance, taking Bahasa Melayu course does not have anything to do with English.
But if you look on the other side, do you really think Chinese people or Indians actually understand Malay better than English?
In some places, maybe.
But if you are looking for a good job, then you are going to need English more than ever.

Even if you want to apply as a clerk
or
even as a staff in a petrol station,
you will need a certain amount of English knowledge.

English is also interesting if we know how to pronounce and why is it pronounced like that.
Despite being too confusing, English provides unlimited usage of words.
So we can express our emotions and feelings using many expressions.
It adds up the colour to our vocabulary.

These are some of the comments regarding
"Learning English is such a WASTE OF TIME?"

.....

So it is clear that English is quiet essential in our lives.
